Packaging Release workflow for saved recipes

Saved recipes can now move through a clear packaging-review workflow: create a numbered release, complete a short review checklist, approve the frozen version, and export the approved label with confidence about which recipe data it represents.

  • Create sequential Packaging Releases from a saved recipe, with a frozen label, ingredient statement, allergen statement, and serving data snapshot
  • Complete three automatic checks and four focused review acknowledgements before approving a release for export
  • See when a recipe change needs a new review: approved releases are preserved as history and are superseded when delivery-relevant recipe data changes
  • Export the current approved release from the Label tab, while drafts and superseded releases stay non-exportable

FDA Serving Size Finder launched

We added a public FDA Serving Size Finder to help food teams match a product to an FDA RACC category, use a real finished-product measurement to set a label-serving starting point, and prepare serving details before recipe nutrition and package review.

  • Search FDA RACC reference categories for general foods or foods for infants and young children ages 1 through 3
  • Combine the reference amount with a product count, weight, or volume measurement to review a suggested serving expression and metric serving amount
  • Estimate servings per container for products sold by weight and carry the serving details into the Recipe Nutrition Calculator

Product experience

Free label generator, complete Tabular exports, and cleaner navigation

We added a free label generator for reviewed nutrition values, fixed wide Tabular label preview and PNG export behavior, and simplified how users move between tools and account actions.

  • Added the Free Nutrition Label Generator for FDA-style and Canadian label previews from confirmed per-serving values
  • Kept wide Tabular labels inside a horizontal preview area while exporting the full PNG layout
  • Moved account and sign-out actions into the Google profile menu and grouped public calculators under Tools

We launched the Recipe Nutrition Calculator so food teams can turn recipe ingredients, batch quantities, and a serving plan into reviewed per-serving nutrition values before label work begins.
